Description
This is an authentic Vietnam Era M1 US Military helmet, complete with its original liner and a reversible camouflage cover. The helmet and liner are in sound, used condition, showcasing their historical authenticity. The helmet shell is a classic example of the M1 design used during the Vietnam War. The helmet liner retains its original brow band, which features an ink stamping, and the webbing suspension system.
The included camouflage cover is a notable feature, being of the reversible type with “Mitchell” pattern. One side features the classic leaf pattern for tropical environments, while the reverse has the more yellowish “cloud” pattern. The cover itself has ink stamping as well, adding to its provenance. As noted, the chin strap is not present, which is a common occurrence with many helmets of this era. This piece is a great find for collectors of military headwear, Vietnam War artifacts, or those seeking an authentic display item for historical dioramas.
