Brief History of the DAP:
The Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (DAP) was a short-lived far-right political party established in Weimar Germany after World War I. It only lasted from 5 January 1919 until 24 February 1920. The DAP was the precursor of the Nazi Party, which was officially known as the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP).
The DAP was founded by Anton Drexler, a Munich engineer and railway worker. Drexler was a member of a number of far-right groups in the early 1910s, and he was inspired to found the DAP after attending a meeting of the Thule Society, a völkisch group that believed in the superiority of the Aryan race.
The DAP's initial membership was small, but it grew rapidly after Adolf Hitler joined the party in September 1919. Hitler was a charismatic speaker, and he quickly became the party's most popular figure. In February 1920, the DAP was renamed the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP), and Hitler was appointed the party's leader.
The NSDAP quickly became a major force in German politics, and it came to power in 1933. The NSDAP's ideology was based on Nazism, which is a form of fascism that combines extreme nationalism, racism, and antisemitism. The Nazis believed that the Aryan race was superior to all other races, and they sought to create a German empire that would be ruled by the Aryans.
The Nazis persecuted and murdered millions of people during their rule, including Jews, Roma, homosexuals, and people with disabilities. The Nazis were defeated in World War II, and the NSDAP was disbanded.
