Description
This lot features two iconic pieces of vintage U.S. military headgear, dating back to the World War II era (circa 1940s). The first is a peaked service cap, often referred to as a “crusher” style, featuring an authentic U.S. insignia on the front, a brown leather visor, and a matching chin strap. The second piece is a wool garrison cap, or “overseas cap,” which includes characteristic ventilation eyelets on the side; please note that there are some small moth holes present in this cap, which is common for vintage wool items of this age. Both items are classic examples of period-correct military apparel, making this set a fantastic find for military historians, reenactors, or collectors of vintage militaria.
