Description
This is an authentic and original Viet Cong aluminum canteen, a true piece of Vietnam War history. The canteen is hand-painted in a camouflage pattern with significant historical markings. One side features a striking hand-painted scene of two Viet Cong fighters holding a flag, with the text “Khe Sanh 1968” prominently displayed below. The other side is painted with the slogan “Danh Tan Giac My Xam Luoc,” which translates from Vietnamese to “Crush the American Invaders.” This slogan, combined with the “Khe Sanh 1968” reference, ties the canteen directly to one of the war’s most brutal and well-known battles. The canteen measures 5 x 7.25 inches and is in very good, original condition, showing minor wear consistent with its age and use.
