Description
This is a significant set of original vintage protest posters from the American anti-war movement during the early 2000s. The collection includes a large 18 x 24 inch poster by the “Not In Our Name” organization featuring a high-contrast image of Earth surrounded by the bold text “NO WAR ON IRAQ / NO WAR ON THE WORLD” on a black and blue background. Also included is a striking pink and black “iRaq” poster which uses a parody of contemporary technology branding to highlight human rights concerns featuring a silhouette of an Abu Ghraib prisoner and the text “100,000 Americans can end this nonsense / REVOLUTION NOW.” Both posters are authentic period pieces printed on standard poster stock. They show minor signs of historical use including some edge curling and a small surface tear on the blue border of the “Not In Our Name” poster but remain bright and suitable for framing as historically significant political art.
